Christina Is Not Pregnant

Christina Aguilera was sick on the side of a road during a car trip with her boyfriend.

The 'Dirrty' singer and lover Jordan Bratman were on their way to swanky Los Angeles restaurant Toscana (PHOTOS) when Christina came over queasy and ordered Jordan to stop the car.

After vomiting, the sexy star managed to compose herself and carried on to the restaurant to have dinner.

An onlooker said: "She arrived looking pale. She didn't appear to be well, although she carried on with her evening. "She was still immaculately dressed but looked as though she just wanted to lie down."

Christina's spokesperson denied rumours her illness was due to her being pregnant, saying: "She has had a stomach flu all week. She is not pregnant!"

Controversial Christina Skechers Ad Pulled

Skechers footwear has yanked a controversial ad depicting Pop singer Christina Aguilera as a provocative nurse after a storm of protest from nurses around the country.

It's the latest success by the Center for Nursing Advocacy, a two-year-old nonprofit group in Baltimore that is trying to increase public understanding of the nursing profession.

"Nurses are realizing that our media image has a lot to do with the nursing shortage," said Sandy Summers, the center's executive director. "If we don't fix the media image, we can't fix the nursing shortage."

The ad, one of three "naughty and nice" print ads showing Aguilera as a sexy policewoman, teacher and nurse, had the Pop Tart dressed in a low-cut nurse minidress, with garter belt, white stockings and what the center called "dominatrix" boots.

The shoe company, based in Manhattan Beach, Calif., said it discontinued the ad, which was going to run mostly in Canadian and international publications, after receiving more than 2,800 e-mails in protest.

"The Christina Aguilera advertisement was in no way meant to trivialize or marginalize the valuable services that the nursing profession contributes to our society," according to a Skechers statement.

"I'm glad to hear they've gotten the message," Summers said yesterday.

Christina Heavily Involved In Video Planning

In the somewhat limited field of video making, a good idea is golden. As the best ideas of the bunch are honored at next week's 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, it's worth remembering that the early development of a video what happens between when a song is selected as a single and when the cameras start rolling is just as important as (if not more important than) the actual filming.

Sure, making a video has all the free food, pranks, maybe even the "Making the Video" crew, but planning the video is where the heart and soul are put in place.

Videos come together in a variety of ways, but they almost always start with a meeting between the artist, their manager and what is called a video commissioner, the person at the record label who essentially coordinates videos.

"In Christina [Aguilera]'s case, all of the videos from her last album came from her own vision," said Hugh Surratt, who, as the vice president of marketing and creative at RCA, oversees the label's video commissioner.

Another process that is becoming more common is an artist will not necessarily have an idea, but a certain director in mind. Thus was the case with Aguilera's Video Music Award-nominated "The Voice Within."

"Christina and David LaChapelle went in together and came up with the treatment," Surratt said.

Video commissioners have less to do in those situations. Their work comes when an artist or band has no ideas or just wants to see what directors will come up with. The commissioners know which directors are good with various kinds of music, as well as what sorts of acts the directors want to work with. If a director is free and interested, the commissioner sends a copy of the song along with a note from the artist and label, usually with the amount the label is willing to spend.

"You let them know what the artist is looking for so that the directors don't just jump off and go the wrong path," Surratt said. "But you don't want to cramp their style. You don't want to say, 'We want Christina driving in a car in the desert and then there's a dance scene and they end up in a hot tub.' It's the director's idea."

Aguilera Fans Win Small Victory

Latest: Christina Aguilera fans seeking refunds for tickets to her cancelled summer tour have won a small victory, after their repayment was deemed high priority by a judge.

Tuesday, a hearing was held at the Bankruptcy Court in Worcester, Massachusetts, regarding the assets of the company that provided the VIP-ticket packages, since FansRule had gone bankrupt.

The judge denied a motion from the company's former trustee that his fees be made a priority over repayment of fan refunds.

Xtina Sued Over Smackdown

by Charlie Amter

A photographer doesn't feel so beautiful after allegedly taking a beating from Christina Aguilera's bodyguard last year.

Now, said shutterbug, David Keeler, is suing the singer, her bodyguard and her Three Wishes Tour Inc. over the May 21, 2003 incident outside a Hollywood nightclub.

According to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Keeler was staked out at the entrance of the nightspot Nacional around 2 a.m. to capture Xtina and other celebrities coming out of club.

Keeler says in court documents that the "Dirrty" singer "appeared to be intoxicated and needed assistance walking to the car." Keeler says he was snapping away at the stumbling Aguilera when he was slugged in the kisser and spat on by bodyguard Vernon Warren, who, according to the suit, told Keeler he "needed to learn respect."

The photographer said he was left "dazed, in pain and bloodied" from the attack.

Keeler also asserts that Warren asked another man to continue the smackdown while the cameraman was left stunned and aching near Hollywood Boulevard. The unnamed third man supposedly hit Keeler in the back and told him he was "not wanted there."

But Aguilera's camp is refuting the claim. In a statement, the singer's publicist, Meghan Prophet, says, "Christina has no reason to believe that such an incident did occur, nor did she witness such an incident."

The Grammy-winning singer has been busy finalizing her new record and preparing for some key events, such as the MTV Video Music Awards, where she is nominated in two categories.

The singer, who called off her summer tour, also appears on the cover of the September issue of Jane magazine and has a sexy duet on Nelly's new record called "Tilt 'Cha Head Back," out in September.

Christina's Break Up: Is It True?

Did Christina break up with her boyfriend at a strip club?

NO!

Christina Aguilera has been known to enjoy the talent at various strip clubs, but a British tabloid claimed she had a terrible time at the New York gentlemen's hotspot Scores. The "Dirrty" singer reportedly performed a raunchy lap dance that sent her longtime boyfriend, Jordan Bratman, into a jealous rage. The incident even supposedly led to a split in the long-term couple. "This is crazy! It's a complete fabrication," says Christina's PR rep. "Christina and Jordan are just fine, and she wasn't even at Scores!"

Nelly's Double Dose Features X-tina And More

Believe it or not, Nelly's two upcoming LPs Sweat and Suit almost had another album accompanying them.

The gold-toothed St. Louis slugger recorded so much material, he actually contemplated putting out three albums at once before changing his mind. He's still on track for a double dose on September 14.

His song with Jaheim, "My Place," is exploding on radio, and "Flap Your Wings" is still holding its own in the clubs. Nelly is in the midst of plotting his next move, which could entail putting out a cut currently on Sweat's track listing (it could flip-flop to Suit) called "Tilt 'Cha Head Back" as another single in the coming weeks. That record features Christina Aguilera and samples the beat from "Superfly."

"I know exactly what's on your mind," Chrissy sexily sings to Nelly on the track, before revealing that she has "a little something" for him. Nelly sings too, responding with a question: "Can I get a little bit?"

No 'Valley' Girl

Can't wait to see Christina Aguilera on the silver screen? Well, you'll have to. Although Aguilera met with the producers of "Valley of the Dolls," she's not doing it. "She's concentrating on her album," her rep told us. Betty Thomas, who directed the classic "Private Parts," is helming the remake of the 1967 pill-popping potboiler (based on the Jacqueline Susann trashterpiece) about three young women in show business.

Christina Sends Get Well Message To Versace

Christina Aguilera has sent her best wishes to Donatella Versace, who is recovering from her cocaine addiction in a rehabilitation center. The pop diva has sent flowers and a 'get well soon' card to Italian designer, who is said to have been battling with her drug problem for years. Allegedly, Aguilera is not the only celebrity to have sent her love to head of Versace fashion house.

"Christina sent her love to Donatella, as did loads of celebs. Donatella knows everyone in showbiz. But for now, she's focusing on getting better," a source says.

The singer, who has befriended Donatella, hopes to try her hand at fashion design herself by launching her own range or "edgy, but feminine" lingerie. Aguilera, 23, is now shooting a series of ads for US footwear manufacturer Skechers. In a new campaign, entitled "Naughty and Nice," aimed to portray two sides of the singer's personality, she will impersonate a nurse, a teacher, policewoman and a juvenile delinquent.
