Christina & Jordan Have A Boy!

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman welcomed a baby boy on Saturday, January 12 at 10:05 p.m., PEOPLE has confirmed exclusively.

This is the first child for the 27-year-old singer and her music executive husband.

"Christina and Jordan are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy!" a rep for the couple tells PEOPLE. "Mom is resting and doing well!"

Despite various media reports that Aguilera had her baby on Friday, Max 6 lbs. 2 oz. and 20.5 inches long arrived late Saturday night in L.A.

In a message later posted on her official Web site Sunday, Aguilera tells fans, "Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world."

The singer also posted a special video of her song "Save Me From Myself," with footage from the couple's personal wedding video.

"Just a little something to say 'thank you' for your undying love and support," writes Aguilera. "It is in no small part because of you that I live such a blessed and wonderful life!"

Although Aguilera didn't announce the gender of her baby while she was pregnant, she celebrated the bundle of joy's pending arrival with a blue-themed baby shower in November.

The singer, who was mum on her pregnancy for months despite rumors and a visible bump, officially confirmed she was expecting in November eight weeks after Paris Hilton prematurely spilled the beans at the LAX nightclub in Las Vegas. "Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You're gorgeous," Hilton announced to a crowded room, stunning Aguilera and Bratman.

Later in November, Aguilera bared her growing belly on the cover of Marie Claire. In the article, she revealed that although she'd wanted to have a baby, it happened sooner than she'd expected, following a visit from Bratman while she was on tour last April.

"You've heard it takes some time except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here," she said. "I'm like, 'Oh my God, can you believe it just happened?' "

Aguilera also addressed her silence on the matter in the earlier stages of her pregnancy, telling the magazine, "Because I hadn't said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that's not the case at all. I just wasn't commenting. I'm not being like, 'Hey, everybody, I'm pregnant!' I'm not that girl."

Married to Bratman since November 2005, Aguilera had babies on her mind back in July 2006, when she said on Britain's GMTV morning show, "In five years' time I'd probably like to start thinking about a child." Now, she's gotten her wish just a little bit earlier than she expected.

Christina Gives Birth To Baby Boy

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman welcomed a baby boy on Saturday evening, according to the singer's Web site. It's the first child for the singer, 27, and Bratman, a music executive whom she married on November 19, 2005.

Max Liron Bratman weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces and measures 20.5 inches, according to the site; a press release issued Sunday (January 13) states that he was born at 10:05 p.m. PT on Saturday, and that Christina is "resting and doing well!" The announcement is accompanied by the following note on the singer's site:

Dear fans,

Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world.

In honor of our love for each other and our growing family, I have put together a special video for the song 'Save Me From Myself' off my Back to Basics album. This video is very dear to me as it includes actual footage from our personal wedding video!

Just a little something to say 'thank you' for your undying love and support. It is in no small part because of you that I live such a blessed and wonderful life! Please download and enjoy...

With all my love,
Christina

Aguilera's pregnancy, which had been rumored since early July, was unexpectedly announced by Paris Hilton at a party held in Las Vegas during VMA week in early September. "Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world, you're gorgeous," Hilton said to a packed crowd, while Aguilera sat nearby in uncomfortable silence.

The singer confirmed her status to Glamour UK in November, saying, "I'm hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband! ... He's thrilled! He's just great." After giving that interview, she revealed to Marie Claire for the magazine's December cover story that the pregnancy was a surprise.

"I just wasn't commenting," she said about staying mum for so long on the pregnancy. "I'm not being like, 'Hey, everybody, I'm pregnant!' I'm not that girl. Because I hadn't said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that's not the case at all."

Aguilera elaborated, saying she wouldn't comment publicly on the news in order to keep her baby as safe and healthy as possible while on her Back to Basics tour, which still had a month's worth of dates left when Aguilera found out that she was pregnant. The show, which included 10 costume changes and somewhat dangerous stunts, made Aguilera "paranoid" about endangering her child, she said.

"There are so many things that could go wrong somebody could slip, somebody could fall, I could fall," she said. "There was no way in hell I was going to jeopardize my baby for my show," she insisted, admitting to that she wore a hidden heart monitor to keep track of her body's homeostasis. "[I took precautions, but] I didn't want to make the audience uncomfortable, like, 'Pregnant lady onstage! Is she going to be OK?' "

Christina Bares All on Marie Claire Cover

By Stephen M. Silverman

Mom-to-be Christina Aguilera is making like Demi Moore and Britney Spears displaying her bare belly in a revealing cover photo for the January issue of Marie Claire magazine.

She also reveals even more in the interview, saying pregnancy wasn't really on her mind when she found out she and husband Jordan Bratman were to become first-time parents.

"We were planning on starting to try after the [Nov. 2006-May 2007 Back to Basics] tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn't know how much time it would take," the Grammy winner, 26, tells the magazine.

"You've heard it takes some time except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here," she reveals, "I'm like, Oh, my God, can you believe it just happened?"

Aguilera believes the moment of conception occurred when Bratman a music executive whom the singer married two years ago visited Georgetown during a tour stop, when she had one month of physically challenging concerts still left to perform. (Her Washington, D.C. concert took place in early April which could conceivably mean the baby's due in January.)

Physically Challenging

Besides hanging from a circus pinwheel during the tour, Aguilera also sported mega heels onstage.

"I was paranoid," she admits. "There are so many things that could go wrong somebody could slip, somebody could fall, I could fall. There was no way in hell I was going to jeopardize my baby for my show."

Her solution was to wear a carefully hidden heart monitor that she kept secret from concert crowds. "I didn't want to make the audience uncomfortable, like, 'Pregnant lady onstage! Is she going to be okay?' But I had to announce it to my band and my dancers, because I wanted to make sure they had my back."

Paris Hilton's Spoiler

Having kept mum about her pregnancy, until she confirmed her condition to Glamour magazine (which reported it earlier this month), Aguilera is also asked if she was upset when, at an MTV Video Music Awards party in September, Paris Hilton publicly introduced her as "the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world."

With a shrug, Aguilera says, "Because I hadn't said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that's not the case at all. I just wasn't commenting. I'm not being like, 'Hey, everybody, I'm pregnant!' I'm not that girl."

Confrontational Sexuality

Now that the secret's out, Aguilera says she favors having a large family, though she doesn't have a specific size in mind.

Asked too how her "confrontational sexuality" might come into play with her parenting, Aguilera responds: "We're so labeled. If you're too sexual, you're slutty. If you're not sexual enough, you're a prude. I like to put it out there as a topic of conversation. Why does it bother you? What's your problem with it? Am I really hurting you? Let's get to the root of it."

When it comes to herself, she adds, "I have more than one side of me that likes to get out on a stage and sing. Sometimes I want to be aggressive, sometimes I want to feel empowered in my sexuality and my vulnerability. I want to put all that out there."

Christina Confirms Pregnancy

Christina Aguilera has now formally confirmed the already widely-reported observation that she is expecting a baby.

Or, as the Grammy winner tells it, she will "enter into mommyhood" next year.

In an interview with Glamour magazine, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter, who has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, says that she intends to be a working mom who'll "balance" caring for her child and tending to her career, reports the BBC.

"I want to get it right," she is quoted as saying.

Describing the reaction of the father-to-be Aguilera's husband, music executive Jordan Bratman, 30 she says, "He's thrilled! He's just great."

Aguilera also says she finds Bratman (who, like her, hails from New York) "so supportive and amazing through everything. He came with me on the last leg of the tour and he was my support system. ...I gush. I'm a lucky girl."

The Couple's First Baby

This will be the first child for the two, who married Nov. 19, 2005, during a lavish three-day affair in California's Napa Valley. They had been dating since 2002.

Last month, Aguilera, Bratman, her mother-in-law and her sister-in-law set up her baby registry at the Beverly Hills boutique Bel Bambini.

In September, it was Paris Hilton who first publicly addressed the news about Aguilera's entering mommyhood while introducing the singer at a Las Vegas event. Announced the hotel heiress: "Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world."
